This weekend, my teammates and I are competing in the America East Championships. Our biggest "enemy": Boston University (they've been winning this for 14 years or so).
If is funny going to the AECs. It is funny to see girls mean-mug each other, just because they are on opposing teams. During regular season, some girls can actually be nice. However, once conference championships start, it is a whole new attitude; "competitiveness on steroids" - that's what I call it. I feel pretty bad for the girls who get into this attitude. They simply fail to enjoy their matches, and it seems that all they can see in front of their eyes is a tacky champ ring (yeah, they give you rings if you win your conference).
Anyway, I have a tough match tomorrow, against one of the mean-mug girls I mentioned. Oh, yeah, we are actually playing Binghamton University tomorrow. If we win, we will have to face Boston University. I will keep you guys posted on what happens. :-) Go Dawgs :P
